I spent the first five years of my career in the financial services industry in corporate America and the next ten in communication management in the Middle East and Australia.
Along with studying abroad in Spain and Brazil and speaking and consulting in places including New Zealand, England and the Pacific Islands, my diverse background has lent itself to a broad sense of cultural awareness and a diversity of ideas.
Within my career in communication, I have helped establish an Office of Communication at a small university, established an Arabic language study abroad program, developed a brand from scratch, building it to a regional organisation that spans over Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands and run four Conferences in Australia while consulting on a fifth in New Zealand.
I love the power of a story and the promise of a blank sheet of paper. I love ideas and dreamers and most of all those who can execute on an idea.
I believe failure is a gift because it gives us material to learn. Turning ideas into reality is where I find the most joy and I can often be heard in my house saying, “I have an idea!”
I have a B.S. in Finance, a B.A. in International Studies and an M.S. in Accounting.
